EASY Homemade Gluten-Free Pasta Recipe
Fresh pasta - that is something that this Glutenista had never made before in her life, even before she was banished to a life of sub-par gluten-free pasta. This super easy, super delish gluten-free pasta recipe is terrific by itself, or used to make gourmet gluten-free pastas, gluten-free ravioli & more! Bon Appetit!
First, the easy peasy gluten-freesy ingredients:
1 Cup Gluten-Free Flour (we used Jules - which already has Xantham gum & behaves like regular flour)
2 tbsp Milk
1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
That's it! How EASY is this??? Just be sure to use a great, great Gluten-Free Flour like Jules'
Combine Flour, Baking Powder & Salt. In a separate bowl, combine Milk & Egg.
Mix & knead all ingredients together (this can be done in a KitchenAid)
Roll into a ball, place in plastic wrap and let sit for 20-30 minutes
Roll out gluten-free pasta dough to desired thickness ( be sure to prepare surface & rolling pin with gluten-free flour to prevent sticking) Don't have a dedicated gluten-free rolling pin? Wrap a wine bottle in plastic wrap or tin foil, works every time!
Cut noodles with a sharp knife, floured if needed. Toss the noodles in a bit of gluten-free flour & lay out to dry, about 2 hours.
Bring water to a boil & add noodle to cook, about 10 minutes.
Drain noodles & top with your favorite sauce or oils and fresh parmesan cheese!
Voila! Delicious, easy gluten-free homemade pasta!
