Who doesn't love gluten-free puppy chow/muddy buddies - the wonderful combo of Chex, Peanut Butter, Chocolate and Powdered Sugar? We have been known to indulge in puppy chow a time or two on road trips, usually showing up at our destination with powdered sugar all over us and and only an empty bag to offer our host.

When we spotted a White Chocolate Lemon version of puppy chow on the Chex website, we knew we had to make it as soon as possible. And wow, was it ever good! Based on that success, were inspired to create puppy chow from one of our favorite flavors - Strawberries & Cream Puppy Chow. The flavor reminds us of an amazingly yummy strawberries & cream bar. The best part? This strawberries & cream puppy chow recipe goes from idea to reality in about 5 minutes! Good luck watching that waistline glutenistas :)

Ingredients for Strawberries & Cream Puppy Chow:

Recipe adapted from Chex

1 1/2 Cups Gluten-Free White Chocolate Chips, Such as Ghiradelli
1/4 Cup Butter
1/4 Cup Fresh Squeezed Strawberry Juice (from mashed strawberries)
6 Cups Gluten-Free Rice Chex
2 Cups Powdered Sugar

Directions for Strawberry Puppy Chow :

Microwave White Chocolate Chips, Butter, Strawberry Juice for 1 minute. Stir and microwave in 15-30 second increments, until mixture is completely melted and stirs well. do not overheat, stir in-between microwaving
Pour white chocolate mixture over Chex. Stir until all chex are fully covered. Place in a gallon freezer food storage bag (or a sealed container) and pour in powdered sugar. Shake until all pieces fully covered.
Serve immediately. Store any leftover puppy chow in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
